The Dominican Culture

What is the Dominican culture? When I look around here, I see most women working and then men are sitting at home playing dominoes.  Trust me I am sure they don't feel so manly without jobs, but it is more common to see men at home and women working.  No matter what the women take care of the house.

Women are to take care of their men.  But men are to enjoy life.  They can do whatever they want in their life and women have to accept it.  What does this mean? It means if my man went out drinking (NEVER) and left me home, it is very wrong for me to EVER go checking up on him! A woman does not check up on the man ever.

Well lets just say this is a very chauvinistic culture! For those of you who remember how I met my husband, my best friend Reymon recommended my husband to me.  When I asked him if he knew any good guys, he said he only knew ONE.  Yeah, well i got that one :) Reymon was very smart, and exactly right.  Francisco IS just like Reymon in many ways.  Loving their women they are the same.

Here is a picture of my husband and Reymon teaching and learning one anothers different techniques of massaging our feet!! I am not the only pampered person out there, I realize that once I saw Reymon doing the same for his woman!  He loves her and its apparent!!  Just as Cacique loves me too ;)
