Blonde Moments

Posted by Jennywrites at 9:59 PM
My youngest daughter is a lot like her mom.  She's got blonde hair, and let's just admit it, we act Blonde sometimes.. One night coming out of our local department/Supermarket (Think Walmart) my daughter announces that she knows where the car is.  The problem was she was going in the wrong direction.  My husband grabbed a hold of her hand and they walked around the entire parking lot, passing our car, and kept walking.  He asked her at each car.. Is this one it? Wait it must be this one.. Well she finally found it about 10 minutes later.  We laughed as she did this and my husband was so patient with her.

The other night we parked near one door that we don't normally park at but when we came out we came out a different door.  That night she knew what we were doing and she brought us right to the right car.  YOU GO GIRL.. *smile* Tonight as we were walking into the store he kept telling her.. tonight he's going to confuse her.  He kept making her close her eyes and spin around, sending her in different directions..  While shopping my husband disappeared. I had an idea what he was doing but wasn't really sure he'd do that.  Sure enough he did.  He went back outside and moved the car.

When we got outside he spun her around a few times sending her in the right direction but she turned around and went off into the wrong direction.. Reverse psychology works on blondes!! lol  We walked around, danced, laughed, and then we went to find our car, he took her hand and they went car to car again, and After about 15 minutes I had enough.  I just wanted to go home and unpack the groceries.  My husband led er to the car, and she died laughing.  She never did question how the car moved.. I know she didn't see when he magically disappeared.  I'll have to ask her if she knows what happened.

On the drive home my blonde moment daughter announced that she knew how to get home.  My husband challenged her and she seemed to be going correctly.  He then brought her attention to something in the bag as he turned down a road we never went down.  She was lost.  We laughed for about 15 minutes as she couldn't find her way out.  She laughed harder than we did.

Memories are so much fun when you have kids.  I no longer have to make these memories with the kids alone.  I have someone to make them with, laugh, and remember for a long time.  I was a single mom for too long.  This is great having a partner.
